Regional Animal Protection Society (RAPS)
On Friday, March 1, the Rest.Q board toured this impressive sanctuary and animal hospltal located in Richmond, BC. “RAPS is one of Canada’s largest and most innovative animal-serving agencies”. The board had a tour of the pristine animal hospital, as well as the one-of-a-kind sanctuary for mostly unadaptable cats. The sanctuary accommodates forever homes tor hundreds of abandoned, surrendered, and feral cats, including animals with leukaemia and FIV. To say that all of the board members were impressed with RAPS is an understatement. These animals are surrounded by caring staff and volunteers who shower the animals with love for the rest of their kitty lives. For information on RAPS, visit www.rapsbc.com

Adoption Across the Miles (Kit Kat)
Lila is a senior citizen who recently moved from Halifax to a retirement facility in a small town north of Montreal. While living in Halifax, Lila aways had a cat or cats in her life. However, her new accommodation does not allow pets. Lila misses a feline companion and reached out to a relative on Galiano, a long-time Rest.Q member. Desperate for a “cat connection” she asked if she could financially adopt a cat from Rest.Q. Lila is now the adoptive mother to Kit Kat, who lives on Galiano and she will make monthly donations towards her care. Lila plans on visiting the West Coast this year to meet her new adoptive “baby”. Thank you to Lila for her support of Rest.Q and we cannot wait for her to meet Kit Kat.

Legacy Gifts
Rest.Q is the recipient of three very generous legacy gifts. Needless to say we are beyond grateful. These gifts will assist our sanctuary in continuing to care for animals in need.
